A few weeks ago, a friend asked me via Twitter about backing up her hard drive to the cloud. I recommended Carbonite to her. I’ve used it for a long time and it has always worked flawlessly for me when doing back-ups and restores. And more importantly these days, it is affordable!
Within a few minutes, Carbonite picked up that I used their hashtag and sent me a DM with a note of thanks. Then they sent me an email and asked if they could send me a T-shirt to show their appreciation of my endorsement. I agreed and sent them my work mailing addresss. Well guess what arrived today in the mail? I got the shirt and a nice note: “Thank you again for your recommendation of Carbonite to your family or friends on your social network. Please accept this Carbonite T-shirt as a very small token of our appreciation…”
